University offices will continue with normal hours of operation on weekdays, except on Thanksgiving Monday October 12. Classes will resume on October 19. Teacher candidates are not required to attend their placements during the Fall Term Reading Week; however, they are able to volunteer to assist their host schools if permitted by their mentor teachers. This does not apply to our full-time consecutive program. While teaching subject classes for Intermediate/Senior teacher candidates will not occur, all other full-time consecutive courses will be running. Visit for more information for full-time consecutive teacher candidates.

Are You on the Official Classlist?
A teacher candidate will not receive a final grade for coursework if he/she is not listed on the official classlist. You should not attend classes for a section that is not the one listed on your student record. Because official classlists are used for submitting final grades, if you are listed on a classlist for one section but attending another, you will receive a failure grade because you did not submit assignments to the instructor for the section where your name appears on the classlist.

Final Date to Drop
The final date to drop a Fall (F) term course without receiving a grade is November 6, 2009. Teacher candidates will require special permission via a student petition submitted to BEd Student Services in 128 Winters college to drop a mandatory Education course.
