All ED3 and Part-Time Consecutive teacher candidates should have received an e-mail with more details. All full-time consecutive teacher candidates can find out more through their site secretaries and Course Directors. Fall Term Grades
On Tuesday, January 26, blank NGR (no grade received) grades will be converted to "F" NGR indicating a failure in the course. If students receive a failure grade due to a missing grade, they should contact their instructor(s) as soon as possible after this date. For information on the university’s grade reappraisal policy, visit http://www.yorku.ca/roweb/services/grades/policy.htm.

Tax Forms
Information related to tax forms for income tax purposes can be found online at http://sfs.yorku.ca/fees/taxforms/index.htm.

Critical Thinking, Citizenship and University Pedagogy
Winters College Office of the Master is hosting a workshop “Critical Thinking, Citizenship and University Pedagogy” presented by Associate Professor Robert A. Kenedy from the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies. All students are welcome to attend on Thursday, January 14, at 2:00 pm in the Senior Common Room, 021 Winters College. Light refreshments will be available.

OSAP Document Pick-Up
Starting in January, Student Client Services will be utilizing a "by appointment only" policy for any OSAP enquiries or financial document pick-up. Students should check the Financial Document Tracker to determine if they are required to make an appointment beforehand. For more information, visit http://www.yorku.ca/scsweb.

Program Change
The Registrar’s Office is pleased to launch a single "Change my Program Request" form, which will be more easily completed by our students. You'll find supporting information and the fill-able request form, at http://www.registrar.yorku.ca/services/changes/index.htm. The deadline to submit your program change request to the Faculty of Education (128 Winters College) is April 30. Once the fall/winter enrolment period begins, the Faculty of Education will not allow any changes of major until the following session. Any changes made after submitting your practicum placement request form may delay your placement in schools.

Stop-Out Year
Any teacher candidate who is planning to take a Stop-Out year in Fall/Winter 2010-2011 should submit a Stop-Out Authorization Form by the April 30 deadline date. To download a Stop Out Authorization form, visit http://www.registrar.yorku.ca/pdf/stop-out_authorization.pdf. Teacher candidates who will be on a Stop-Out next year will not need to complete a practicum preference form since the Faculty of Education does not need to arrange a practicum for them until the following year. Teacher candidates will be notified in February/March about when they should complete their practicum preference forms.

Petitions
The Faculty of Education’s Petitions, Appeals and Academic Standards Committee will meet monthly on the following dates:
January 13
February 19
March 10
April 9
May 5
June 7
Students should submit their petitions to 128 Winters College one week prior to the date of the meeting in order to have their petitions heard. Any petitions received after the meeting date will need to wait until the next month’s meeting for a decision. For more information on student petitions and to download the complete undergraduate academic petitions package, visit http://www.registrar.yorku.ca/services/petitions/index.htm.
