August Student Services Newsletter 2018

Welcome
The Faculty of Education welcomes the new BEd and BA  students this September.

BEd students - Year Two & ED 3 Practicum Meetings on Tuesday, September 4, 2018
A mandatory practicum meeting for all Year TWO and ED3 Teacher Candidates will be held on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018, on the Keele Campus.  Visit MTRR (Mentoring and Teaching Resource Room) for the meeting times and location http://mtrr.blog.yorku.ca/   and follow the Current Updates+ tab and select the option that applies to Year Two and ED3 TCs.
Please note; the agenda is subject to change, so please make sure you check regularly for any updates.  Be sure to confirm on the morning of September 4th, as late changes to the agenda are possible.

How to check your time and Room Assigned for Practicum Meeting:
Check on PIMS (Practicum Information Management System) for the name of the practicum facilitator you are assigned to before you look at the MTRR.   PIMS: https://practicum.edu.yorku.ca.  Log on using your Passport York ID and password.  Refer to the section for EDPR 3000, the section and the facilitator name will be listed here.  This is what you will need to identify which group agenda posted on the MTRR to follow.
Please note; some placements are still pending confirmation by school boards. Check PIMS regularly as confirmations are updated daily – you don’t need a placement assigned to know which to attend, the practicum facilitator name is all you need to know to attend the practicum meetings on September 4th.”
