Students in the Faculty of Education at York University are invited to take part in an opportunity to study at Pädagogische Hochschule Freiburg in Germany in the summer of 2010 (April to July).

What is involved in this opportunity?
In the spring of 2010, you will travel with other Faculty of Education students and you can take courses that will count towards your Education degree, and others may count as electives towards your concurrent degree. The compulsory course is ED/INSC 2300 Inquiries Into Schooling.
Do I need to speak German?
No. You can enroll in English-speaking courses that are held at the university. If you are fluent in German you are welcome to enroll in courses held in German. It is possible to take German language classes during the program.
What do I need to do in order to participate?
Attend a mandatory information session with York International and get an application form. Applications can only be acquired at these information sessions.

How much will it cost?
You will pay your tuition fees at York University, and will not be charged tuition at PH Freiburg. You will also be responsible for paying for your airfare, housing, textbooks, travel medical insurance and other living expenses. You will have the opportunity to apply for funding from PH Freiburg and from York International.
