ED3 teacher candidates receive an Interim Practicum Report at the end of the fall term so that they may include this report in their application packages to school boards. Please note that most schools have both ED2 and ED3 teacher candidates. ED2 teacher candidates will receive only one report - the Practicum Summary Report in the spring term only after the completion of the final block. The ED3 teacher candidates will also receive a Practicum summary Report in May/June. A teacher candidate must receive his/her copy of the Interim Report from the MT by January 8, 2010. Interim reports no longer need to be forwarded to the Practicum Office. Drafts of reports are shared with York Seminar Leaders prior to the teacher candidates receiving final reports. Drafts of the Interim reports should be forwarded to the Seminar Leader by December 18, 2009. Mentor Teachers will compose the Interim Report referring to the ED3 exit requirements in the Teacher Candidate Practicum Evaluation Protocol. For more information, visit http://edu.yorku.ca/mentor/assess.html. This information is specific to concurrent and part-time consecutive teacher candidates. Teacher candidates in the full-time consecutive BEd program should check with their Course Directors at their sites. Jewish Teacher Education program should consult with Prof. Laura Wiseman.
