Each student for the Faculty of Education is given an edu.yorku.ca email account. This email should be checked regularly and can be accessed at: https://webmail.edu.yorku.ca.
LOGIN ID: firstname_lastname@edu.yorku.ca (for example: john_smith@edu.yorku.ca)
PASSWORD: Edstudent number (for example: Ed1234567)
Please note
- Passwords must be changed every 6 months. After 6 months, your account will be locked if you have not changed your password.
- You may not reuse any of your last 10 passwords.
Changing Your Password
10 days prior to your password's expiration, you will receive a prompt to change your password after you've logged on. To change your password before its expiration, follow the steps outlined below:
Locked out of your account?
If your password has expired and you have been locked out of your account, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Go to: https://webmail.edu.yorku.ca
- Click the checkbox beside "I want to change my password after logging on"
- In the educ\username field, enter educ\username (for example: educ\jsmith)
- In the password field, enter your old (expired) password
