Holiday Season https://registrar.yorku.ca/enrol/dates/fw20 York University will be closed during the Holiday Season,  December 24, 2020 to January 6, 2021  inclusive.  The university will  resume regular and/or virtual office hours on Thursday, January 7,  2021.  Visit the BEd Program Calendars to see when you're back to class https://edu.yorku.ca/current-students/undergraduate/    Students in the BA Educational Studies program, classes will begin the week of January 11, 2021.

Town Hall on December 21, 2020 at 6:00pm
The Faculty of Education Student Associate (FESA) and the Undergraduate Program Offices will be hosting a Town Hall on the 21st to support questions from students about the new year. The email invite will be sent from FESA to students.

Mental Health and Wellness at York U .  Students  needing assistance or support  beyond their course work are encouraged to visit the resources available to them at YU.  http://mhw.info.yorku.ca/resources/resources-at-york/students/.

Student Counselling, Health & Well-being is happy to announce that the Mental Health & Wellness Student Initiative Fund is now live! This fund aims to support innovative and inclusive student-led initiatives that promote a healthy, inclusive and supportive environment that fosters mental health and well-being among members of the York student community. The deadline for proposals is February 28, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Additional information including how to apply can be found here.

Through the Mental Health & Wellness Student Initiative, a total of $1000.00 is granted to each recipient of the fund.

Students in the BA Educational Studies program need to be mindful of the university important dates - drop/add courses, refunds and tuition deadline.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS)  Students with a diagnosed disability are encouraged to connect with York's Accessibility Services (SAS).  Their office  provides academic accommodation and support to students with disabilities in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s Policy on accessible education for students with disabilities and York University Senate Policy on Academic Accommodation for Students with Disabilities.

As well, students needing non Academic Counselling can contact Student Counselling and Development (SCD)     This unit helps York students to realize, develop and fulfill their personal potential in order to maximally benefit from their university experience and manage the challenges of university life. Students come to SCD because of a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, abuse, stress, self-esteem, relationship issues, eating and body image as well as issues related to sexuality, short-term individual, couple, and group counselling, crisis intervention and consultations regarding students in distress/crisis and issues related to overall mental health.

Please remember if you change your residential address or phone number(s) you should update this information through the Registrar's Office website. Under My Student Records select Change My Profile. You are also encouraged to add a contact person in case of emergency.

The Office of Students Services team is available during regular office hours (Monday - Thursday 10-4 and Fridays 10-3) to current and future students through email, phone and/or Zoom.   Please email the Office of Students Services with your request or questions at osp@edu.yorku.ca.  Please provide your name, York student number (if applicable) along with your phone number.   Please give us 48 hours (during business days) to respond.
